November 2014 horoscope - Libra

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 16th October to 15th November or Libra Ascendants and Moons

Libra, for the first week, the spotlight is still on your sign (which means, Happy Birthday!!) so you’ll enjoy the company of family and friends, spoil yourself and let others pamper you – just as you like it. Not only do you yourself feel more attractive now, other people fall prey to your charm more easily. So, if you are single, this is great news and you’ll feel a lot lighter and as if you’ve lost a weight off your shoulder. Not only has this to do with the amount of attention people pay you, it has to do with Saturn’s move into the next sign of Scorpio. The full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with relationships is the first one in over two years (well, it’s been three years in fact, it’s been a very long Saturn transit, this one) that doesn’t involve Saturn. Something that began in early 2013 now comes to an end; a difficult relationship, expectations that haven’t been met or some other relationship scenario or idea that’s moving on to the next stage. For some Libras, this also includes your work where partnerships and agreements play their part.

This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Bharani, ruled by Venus. Bharani ruled by Venus. Bharani is the Bearer. In the nakshatra of Bharani, this Moon position is described as carrying a burden, carry expectations or bearing responsibility, carrying on with duties regardless. In your case, it relates to any on-to-one situation where you are expected to take responsibility for your share of the deal. After Saturn in your sign for so long, you won’t have an issue with that and it may be that you are now the one asking others to have integrity, be responsible for their actions and follow through on their promises.

Then, after a few weeks of everyone going through the eclipse cycle, the next big thing in the sky is that Saturn changes signs on 2nd November and moves from Libra to Scorpio. After two and a half years of working on more balanced relationships or situations where we have Libra in our chart, it’s time for a step change and a refocus to a different part of life where we all now have to learn our biggest lessons. In the sign of Scorpio, this, more generally speaking has to do with intense commitments. The agent of ‘no-change’, conformity, uniformity, very slow movement, freezing up and standstill is now in the sign of sudden changes, transformation, healing, sexual energy and appeal, power, money, psychology and secrets. Saturn in Scorpio resists sudden changes and transformation, making healing processes of all kind not necessarily more difficult but it certainly slows down the process. And where the ‘healing’ process hasn’t even begun yet, Saturn forces us to take a closer look now – and quite possibly develop a thicker skin. This is also a period where we need to learn to deal with others’ controlling and manipulative behaviours and find a way to say ‘stop, no more’. The ‘danger’ with Saturn in Scorpio is that sudden changes, the various emergencies and upheavals are more difficult to deal if we are not able to respond accordingly or swiftly.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit) and where your biggest learnings, teachings and wisdom will come from is from the area of your chart to do with your income, possessions, family and – if it makes sense to you – the way you talk. More than ever, or at least for 29 years, November 2014 is a month where your financial plans will have to be tightened up. For many, this is related to your own business or your home or both. If you have a goal in mind to do with that, then this is the time when you will be or will have to be a lot stricter with your spending habits. You won’t be in the mood to overspend, that’s for sure, nor will circumstances allow you to do so. In short, you’ll streamline your finances!

On the more positive side, you’ll become hugely intolerant of others’ pretentious behaviours and you are keen to speak your mind – although initially, this is something you may not be used to, you prefer to keep the balance, and it may even pose a significant challenge but one you’ll be asked to work on over time.

The new Moon on 22nd November in the sign of Scorpio is a new beginning to do with your finances and possessions – watch closely what happens over this time period as it’ll give you hints and tips of what’s to come over the next two and a half years. Have a great month, Libra!

November 2014 horoscope - Scorpio

I follow the sidereal/Vedic calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 16th November to 15th December or Scorpio Ascendants and Moons

Scorpio, wow, what a month you seem to have ahead of you! A month that, as it progresses, shows two completely different sides and you may feel it already but you are on the verge of a completely new period in your life. November starts with the majority of planets in the sign before yours and for a long time, you’ve been thinking and contemplating about the things that no longer feel right in your life and how to eclipse them out of your life. This could be expectations, behaviours, thought processes and for some, a living situation that is about to change. You’ve now completed this process and you are ready to start making changes – slowly. Saturn is involved in this process and whenever there is Saturn, things move slowly. The taskmaster changes signs on 2nd November and moves from Libra into your sign.

Generally speaking, after two and a half years of working on more balanced relationships or situations where we have Libra in our chart, it’s time for a step change and a refocus to a different part of life where we all now have to learn our biggest lessons.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit), starting from late November, and where your biggest learnings, teachings and wisdom will come from, is, well, yourself. This is a time of slower forward movement, a time of routine and steady albeit slow progress. Initially, this can feel oppressive and you may feel some heavier responsibilities being placed upon you at work or at home but over time your newly found diligence and sense of duty towards others, at work and at home will win others over – slowly, remember we aren’t talking about weeks here. Over time, as you get used to Saturn’s temporary presence in your sign, your marriage and relationships will benefit – you’re not one for flings and affairs anyway (generally speaking!) but this transit helps to maintain a relationship alongside with a willingness to work on it…unless after trying and trying, you decide that not everything that’s broken can be fixed.

But before all that, the full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with health and wellbeing, conflict and imbalances. Your stress levels may be high, work may be demanding, so it’s good time to relax, unwind and meditate. This full Moon is in the nakshatra of Bharani, ruled by Venus. Bharani ruled by Venus.Bharani is the Bearer. In the Nakshatra of Bharani, this Moon position is described as carrying a burden, carry expectations or bearing responsibility, carrying on with duties regardless. Heavily work related, you may be asked to meet a few tight deadlines, work overtime or really attend to a few health matters now.

The new Moon on 22nd November is in your own sign and alongside a stellium of other planets – Venus and Saturn and a couple of days later also Mercury gather in your sign now. With Mars in your income sector and Mercury in you sign from later November, money should be coming your way again. Even though December is an even stronger month for that – also for outgoings and spending it (!) – you’ll be pushed to make the first move in late November to either ask for a pay rise and / or a promotion or apply for a new job. If you are single (or in a couple) and money is not so much on your mind, the focus on relationships is greater than it has been for a long time. Have a great month, Scorpio!

November 2014 horoscope - Sagittarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 16th December to 14th January or Sagittarius Ascendants and Moons

Sagittarius, you have got Mars and Pluto travelling through your sign together this month and on the one hand, this give you a lot of power and drive to get what you want, on the other hand, it can make you a little more ruthless than usual – not necessarily a bad thing if it’s directed into commercial activities and you aiming to get your own business off the ground, not so great for relationships. With the combinations in your chart, especially for those with their Ascendant in Sagittarius, Mars in this position can also mean a bit of long-distance travel – in a broader sense, it also means being away from your usual environment, perhaps even for quite some time, withdrawing a little, being caught up in a dream world or simply feeling a bit spent from the demands of the year so far.

The full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with romance, children, fun and creativity and has to do with clearing the karma and a certain healing process in these areas. In your case, whatever began in May 2013 that meant a certain amount of extra responsibility is reaching a conclusion now – most likely to be related to romance, children and potentially finances.

This is also a period where we need to learn to deal with others’controlling and manipulative behaviours and find a way to say ‘stop, no more’.The ‘danger’ with Saturn in Scorpio is that sudden changes, the various emergencies and upheavals are more difficult to deal if we are not able to respond accordingly or swiftly.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit) and your task will be to remove all unnecessary appendages, assumptions and subconscious expectations and develop a more neutral and pragmatic understanding. That means a lot of thinking, going within yourself and solitude– not necessarily loneliness but you’ll crave those quite moments that allow you to think and realise. However, this is a great placement for in-depth study– especially in the sign of Scorpio.

More than ever, this is a month where you are likely to be very focused on what is going on within yourself, this is not a month when you focus so much on what is going on around. It kind of is the quiet before the storm, before the majority of planets burst into your own sign in December, one by one. This is a time of withdrawal and preparation and again, for some of you, it may just mean long-distance travels and not being present in your usual surroundings.

The new Moon on 22nd November in the sign of Scorpio is in this area of your chart and is a bit of a welcome for Saturn and an introduction of what’s to come over the next two and a half years. At this point, the majority of the planets gather in the sign before yours, meaning you’ll want to spend some time alone working on yourself. Sometimes seclusion is the only way to repair, getting away from the distractions of life. After the year you’ve had, you might actually enjoy this time period – after all, December is your month and Party Time! Have a good one, Sag!

November 2014 horoscope - Capricorn

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 15th January to 12th February or Capricorn Ascendants and Moons

The full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with your house and home and at the same time, is very much connected to your relationships. I don’t think it’s as drastic as a move or a sale but you may just spend some more time at home with your partner, perhaps make plans for the future and your surroundings or you invite family and friends for a post-Halloween, pre-Christmas, pre-Thanksgiving or just a simple get together then.

In your case, again, it relates to your home environment and your relationships –carry on regardless may be your mantra for now.

While the beginning of the month is a time to focus on house, home, your emotions and your family, the next big thing in the sky is that Saturn changes signs on 2nd November and moves from Libra to Scorpio.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit) and where your biggest learnings, teachings and wisdom will come through friends and acquaintances, older siblings, the marketplace where you earn your money, international dealing and business, large groups and group activities as well as business associates. Attached to this are your profits and bonuses, your hopes and your dreams; all of which will come under scrutiny and are, at least initially, subject to delays. You have had to concentrate hard on your career and life direction over these past years and now, you want to start implementing what you’ve worked on. Still concentrating on your public profile in November, you’ll spend a little bit less time with friends and your usual party crowd. Instead, you are the one who builds, restructures or repair whatever needs fixing in your network of people, friends and around the projects you’re involved in. Working towards achieving your goals will become a bit of a permanent undertaking – starting from November – and who will join you along the way will also be subject to the decisions you make for yourself. This means that the people you surround yourself with are likely to change – and the number of those in your inner circle is like to diminish, at least initially. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, still helps out so, don’t worry, you certainly won’t turn into a loner over night!

Nevertheless, your responsibilities towards other people and in particular large teams – you may get promoted –increased. It looks like you’ll have a lot more responsibility when it comes to projects, planning and executing those whether its’ in employment or for your own business. In order to achieve here, some of you may have to rebuild your network of acquaintances and associates from scratch to help you succeed on a personal and commercial level.

The new Moon on 22nd November in the sign of Scorpio and in exactly this part of the chart, welcoming Saturn to do his work of over the next two years. Pay attention to this new Moon and the weeks after as it is an indication of what to expect and develop over the coming months and years – for you related to relationships, joint finances and wish fulfilment around that and in general. Have a great month, Capricorn!

November 2014 horoscope - Aquarius

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 13th February to 14th March or Aquarius Ascendants and Moons

After a few weeks of everyone going through the eclipse cycle, the next big thing in the sky is that Saturn changes signs on 2nd November and moves from Libra to Scorpio.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit) and where your biggest learnings, teachings and wisdom will come from, are around career, life direction and where you’re headed next in life including what your goals and ambitions are. Saturn is your ruler and the next two years represent an important peak in your life, not just around your career – although to a large extent – but in terms of your entire life direction. The next couple of years put you in the spotlight. You’re probably not going to turn into a Hollywood film star, unless this is indicated in your chart of course (!), but you will have to take on more responsibility at work, at home and in relationships. These are the areas which are most likely to be ‘tested’ over the coming period. People at work as well as your partner want to look up to you and are looking to you to take the lead.

But with Saturn at the top of your chart, you have to follow the rules and you will have certain obligations to fulfil at work, at home and around your relationships. Once you get used to the heavier workload, you’ll slowly see some fruits of your labour – but only after some old-skin-shedding is done. This can mean you leave an old job or even career behind, you leave a marriage or you move home. Something has to give before you can start building a new foundation. But probably more than during any other time, you will certainly command respect in your career; but not only there, generally in life, people seem to have a lot of respect for you as you go about your way, ‘leading the masses’.

The full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with new skills, training, communication, your younger siblings and short-distance travels. Either you’re finishing a course or your decide to get away while you can – travelling may not be something that’ll be at the forefront of your mind over the next years as you work towards taking your career to the next level. In your case, it can relate to some levels of conflict you have to smooth over, either at work or around the home or the family – your diplomatic skills may be required now to even out some arguments and situation or relationships slightly out of balance.

The new Moon on 22nd November in the sign of Scorpio welcomes Saturn in your career zone – each Moon cycles last for just under three years, similar to Saturn’s cycle in a sign, so pay attention to this new Moon and the weeks after as it is an indication of what to expect and develop over the coming months and years. Have a great month, Aquarius!

November 2014 horoscope - Pisces

I follow the sidereal calendar; this is the November 2014 horoscope for birthdays from 15th March to 13th April or Pisces Ascendants and Moons

After a few weeks of everyone going through the eclipse cycle, the next big thing in the sky is that Saturn changes signs on 2nd November and moves from Libra to Scorpio.

For you, the next couple of years (and a bit) and where your biggest learnings, teachings and wisdom will come from, are the areas to do with education, travel, marriage, publishing, your father and / or mentor, your beliefs and your outlook. Some of you may start a further education course – research is great with Saturn in Scorpio, not only will you have the stamina but also the will, skills and ability to look deep into a subject. In many ways, you want to get to the bottom of it all now. Teaching others also features strongly now as does publishing: fiction, books or essays on spirituality, intuition, dreams and other cultures. These are all topics you may research, think about or write about. Saturn in Scorpio for you also has to do with your income, large audiences, profits, hope and dreams and international travel. Some of you may expand your business internationally or the people you deal with, work with and those who are connected to you turning your dreams into reality will come from elsewhere. Foreign assignments comes to mind. However, progress in all of these areas will be slow to start with and attached to endless learning-by-doing experiences.

The full Moon on 6th November is in Aries and in the area of your chart to do with income and possessions, family and money. Connected to children and anything creative, teaching, working with children, self-expression, writing and performing, it could be a time when you start making money from your creative ventures or spend money on them, i.e. your children. What is more likely to be the case, however, is that you will be dealing with you money versus that of you partner, family, other people, the banks, inheritance, wills and investments. Some of you might get carried away now with speculative investments, others will be applying for a mortgage as your setting up home with a partner. This is a time of greater intimacy and closeness for you – with Rahu / the North node in your relationship zone, single Pisceans are in a good place to meet someone special.

In your case, it relates to financial responsibility, making decisions based on your family’s and children’s needs and standing by those.

The new Moon on 22nd November in the sign of Scorpio is in the area of your chart to do with travelling, mentoring, teaching, further education, legal situations and marriage is a new beginning in all of these areas, welcoming Saturn to ‘sort out’ your affairs, view point and beliefs around these matters. Have a great month, Pisces!

Annual solar horoscope 2014 / 2015 - Libra

I follow the Vedic calendar; this is the annual solar horoscope for birthdays from 16th October to 15th November or Libra Ascendants and Moons

Happy birthday Libra! Already, the start of your new solar year will feel a lot different compared to the past year as Saturn, the great taskmaster is preparing to leave your sign in November. Who you are now is fundamentally different from who you were and how you appeared to other people only two years ago. Some of you went through relationship break-ups, moved home and asked yourself questions like Who am I, Who do I want to be or What can I not tolerate anymore? As painful as some of those realisations were at the time, a new feeling of ‘centred-ness’ is descending on you, a new sense of self – for some with more responsibility and a sense of ‘maturity’ but with a very solid understanding of who you are. Well done!

Now that Saturn, who taught you so many lessons in the past two years, is moving on and into the next sign of Scorpio, the focus is all about money. This is a gainful placement for you and for a lot of Libras, it’s connected to house and home. Some may sell, buy, move, renovate or rent out your spare room(s) – you’ll either save for that or you’ll be able to make a few £s, $s or €s from your property! If you are of an age where education plays a role or if you are finishing up a further education course, then the coming years are the ones where you begin to see the fruits of that labour and the hard work you’ve put into learning.

With Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion in the area of your chart to do with your life direction and career, you’ll also want to expand your horizons – quite literally – in your career. Many Libras are likely to travel more than usual for work, meeting new people and making new contacts. That’s great and will certainly help you with Saturn ruling with an iron fist over your finances at times. This is a peak time and a very active period to do with goal setting and achieving as well as you moving into the direction you want to move into – exciting stuff. If you are thinking about moving house, then again, Jupiter will help you out and the turn of the year as well as July and August 2015 look like one of the more active periods to tackle that particular matter.

Once Jupiter moves on in the summer of 2015, you’ll be surrounded by a completely new group of people and relationships take precedence once again.  Not that, as a Libra, you are unpopular anyway, but from next summer, your popularity soars to an almost all-time high – great for meeting a special someone (new). This is an overall very optimistic time with lots of social invites, lots of new and old friends around as well as a partner who proves to be both financially and emotionally supportive. Plus, after a year of travelling and working that little bit harder for your bucks, it’s paybacks time!

Now, underneath it all is Rahu or the North node in an area that has a lot to do with working behind the scenes, being withdrawn, preparing and – quite possibly – spending some time abroad, as the privileged foreigner. As it seems, this has to do with work, you somehow expanding your horizons as you reach for the stars and you learning something  new in the process that you can pass on to others. In other words, you could turn into the teacher or the mentor to others and helping others overcome some their challenges. This stands in slight contrast to all this other stuff going on at work, in your world and around your finances – these areas are very tangible, hands-on and visible to you and others. Something is happening underneath the surface that touches you on a spiritual level and gets under your skin – maybe after all those years of perceived standstill, being pushed back out into the world initially comes as a bit of a shock and it takes time to get used to that and all those new impressions and people on your world travels will be leaving their mark…sounds exciting! Have a great year, Libra!
